First in the hit series of sandbox games with a heavy focus on crime. The first game takes place from a top-down perspective and is split between 6 levels across 3 fictional cities, Liberty City, Vice City, and San Andreas. The player can pick between 4 characters each time they enter a level and must complete missions given out from payphones in order to advance through the game. Outside of missions, the player is free to cause whatever manner of chaos they so choose.
